STRUCTURED WATER

Structured water is an aqueous solution with modified physico-chemical and biological properties, biologically active, obtained as a result of the interaction between water dipolar structure and some physical fields.

There are obtained two types of structured water, namely:

Following the water structuring process, there appear clusters - stable hydrated structures storing useful or subtle energy - which provide the water with very special properties.

In vitro researches have shown that:

• the structured water neutralizes the free radicals - one of the main causes of premature aging;
• the structured water regulates the metabolism due to the action of oligoelements contained: K¹⁺, Na¹⁺, Ca ²⁺ Mg²⁺;
• the structured water transfers to the living cell the energy required to optimize its metabolic processes and to stimulate the natural regenerative mechanism;
• the structured water is a strong stimulator of any biosynthesis process.

Due to these properties, structured water, an absolute worldwide finding, has a lot of scientific, technological and industrial applications in many and various fields, such as:

• Pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries: in manufacturing of new ranges of biopharmaceuticals and biocosmetics, by replacing the distiled (deionized) water with structured water, acting both as biologically active ingredient ans as a vector for delivering other active ingredients inside the living cell, thus normalizing the cell thermodynamic and biochemical balance.
• Zootechny and Agriculture: the "S" - structured water property of stimulating biological process recommends it for multiple applications of which: broilers weight gain by 25%, a severe diminishing of broilers death rate in their critical life period, shortening of seed germination period and irrigation.

Structured Water in Biopharmaceuticals

Pharmaceutical preclinical and clinical studies conducted especially on "I"- structured water have emphasized some of its specific biological activities, such as:

• antiinflammatory;
• hemostatic;
• tissue restitutive;
• anti-microbial, especially bacteriostatic.

The specific biological properties proved by tests conducted on " in vivo" and "in vitro" models have been considered as a starting point in conceiving new pharmaceutical and cosmetic products with "I" or "S" water included.

The antiinflammatory action was shown through clinical trials carried out on human and animal wounds. Thus, using structured water on human burns rapidly narrowed the wound surface and prevented overinfection. In veterinary clinical investigations, the structured water was used to treat wounds of various etiologies: surgical, casual, atonic, festering wounds, being an important aseptic factor in the very first moments of the therapy.

The specific anti-microbial activity was observed "in vitro" on gram+ and gram- bacteria cultures, a bacteriostatic activity being evident on both groups of microorganisms.
The previous researches on lymphocyte cultures have revealed an immuno-stimulative activity of "I" structured water, maintaining once more the idea of its use in topical products.

All the above mentioned effects are due to the new structure of the "I" water, in wich a dominant role is played by the water negatively charged clusters.
